Booking & cancellation policy

We keep our policies transparent and straightforward. The summary below applies to most bookings; specific lodges, camps, charter flights and peak-season dates may carry their own stricter terms, which we will always state clearly in your written quotation.

Securing your booking

• A deposit of 30% of the total trip cost confirms your booking.
• The balance is due 60 days before your travel date.
• Bookings made within 60 days of travel require full payment on confirmation.
• Some properties require a higher or non-refundable deposit; this will be stated in your quote.

Cancellation by you

Cancellations must be made in writing. The date we receive your written notice determines the charge. As a general guide:

• 60+ days before travel — loss of deposit.
• 59–30 days before travel — 50% of the total trip cost.
• 29–15 days before travel — 75% of the total trip cost.
• 14 days or fewer, or no-show — 100% of the total trip cost.

Refunds

Any refund due is processed to the original payment method, less unrecoverable supplier charges and any bank or transfer fees. Refund timelines depend on the suppliers and payment providers involved.

Changes & cancellation by us

We will only ever cancel or materially change your trip in rare circumstances beyond our control (for example natural events, safety, or supplier failure). In such cases we will offer a comparable alternative where possible, or a fair refund of recoverable costs.

Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of travelling with us. Your policy should cover medical care, emergency evacuation, cancellation, curtailment and personal belongings. We strongly recommend arranging it as soon as you pay your deposit.
